Riu Palace Macao
The crown
jewel of the Rius Resorts in Punta Cana embraces an oasis of hundreds of
palm trees, which soar above a silky white beach. This regal hotel
parallels the beach, horizontally flowing with the Caribbean, with
triangular peaked roof tops, rising towards the sun. It appears as
though the arms of the buildings wrap around tropical gardens with
statues of mermaids, and fountains in the pool.
The Palace is an established, hotel of distinction. It is elegant yet
non-pretentious. It does not betray the natural beauty of the location
with overpowering decadence. In fact, it blends with harmonious
intention. A unique and wonderful feature is The Caribe Grill
restaurant, nestled in coconut palms on the beach, which is like
stepping into Robinson Crusoe's world. Wooden slats, intertwined palm
fronds, thatched roof and draped curtains of screening to replace
walls, offer a dream-like fantasy. The aromas of grilled seafood , and
the view of turquoise sea from every table, make this a very special
dining pleasure.
There is of course, the sophisticated atmosphere in the a la carte
restaurants - a Steakhouse and another with Mediterranean cuisine. The
main restaurant El Patio with spectacular buffets and theme dinners with
show cooking with a Gala night held every Thursday.. La Boheme Lounge
Bar is relaxing for an after dinner drink, before trying your luck at
the Casino with slot machines and gaming tables or enjoying a show at
the Copacabana theater. The Cubano Piano Bar stays open late for the
night owl and also offers 24 hours snacks and drinks.
